After the huge success of Janaan one expected Armeena Khan to focus purely on movies. However, despite having signed two international projects we were thrilled to hear that the talented actress will still be doing dramas. After a gap of two years, Armeena will star in Rasm-e-Duniya which is being produced by Abduallah Seja of iDream Entertainment.

With Khan currently busy shooting for the play in Lahore HIP contacted Seja to find out a bit more about Khan's role as well as a bit about the story line and here is what he told us.

‘Rasm-e-Duniya is about a family and how it deals with betrayal as well as revenge. It shows what these two things can do to a family. It's about relatives deceiving one another to take revenge from each other” Seja said.

The play sounds like a typical family drama but we are sure it will be an interesting one, otherwise, why would Khan agree to do it, right? Curious to know where Armeena fits in this family saga we got in touch with Seja who told us,

“ Armeena Khan is playing the character of a happy go lucky girl who is deceived by her aunt. And how she gets caught between family rivalry which turns her whole life upside down is what this play is about and we are sure the viewers will like khan in this role ”

We just hope that Khan will be seen portraying a woman who is strong and is not easily affected by the negativity in the family which will force her to cry in every episode.

Besides Khan, the play also stars Sami Khan , Jawed Shiekh, Samina Peerzada, Nida Mumtaz and Bilal Abbas in pivotal roles.

While Rasm-e-Dunya will be aired sometime next year on ARY digital , fans of Khan can watch her in Bin Roye every Sunday on HUM TV where she plays a dutiful wife and homemaker.

Besides shooting for Rasm-e-Duniya and appearing in Bin Roye ( which was shot two years back) , Armeena Khan will also be seen in Humayun Saeed and Bilal Ashraf starrer Yalghaar and the British sci-fi film's The Achilles Protocol and The Real Target.

Rasm-e- Duniya has been written by Imran Nazir and directed by Roomi Insha who has directed plays like Mannchalay and Hasratein among many others.
