Our very own showbiz big wigs Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed and Ali Zafar are all set to grace the first ever international travelling film festival in India as guests from across the border. The festival titled, Indus Valley International Film Festival (IVIFF), will commence in New Delhi from the 25th of February.
Based on the idea of propagating the message of peace and harmony, the festival aims to encourage creative and artistic collaborations between South Asian Nations.
Organized by film maker Harsh Narayan’s non-profit organization, South Asia Forum for Art & Creative Heritage (SAFACH), IVIFF will include panel discussions with leading filmmakers, workshops and interactions with great film personalities from across South Asia.
In a historic and commendable turn of events between rival neighbors, the festival will reportedly, see the screening of numerous Pakistani films. Teefa in trouble, Moor, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Motorcycle girl, Na Maloom Afraad, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Ho Mann Jahaan, Dobara Phir Se, Saat Din Mohabbat In, Jawani Phir Nai Ani, Jawani Phir Nai Ani 2 and Actor-in-Law will be showcased along with films from other South Asian nations including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, India and also UK, as quoted by a local entertainment website.
The makers have plans to organize the festival every year and to take it to different South Asian countries. This year IVIFF will conclude on 3rd of March
