Ali Zafar’s advocate asked the court to initiate criminal proceedings against Meesha under Section 476...
As we all know that Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar’s case is in court. Meesha confessed that Ali harassed her in a Jam session last year but according to Ali, Meesha’s allegations are baseless and he asked the court to direct Meesha to apologize to him and pay a fine of Rs. 1Billion. Both of them have been repeatedly called by the court and they gave their respective statements. Recently, Meesha submitted some documents in the court but, Ali Zafar thinks that those documents are fake and Ali’s advocate Rana Intizar took the matter to court. As a result, the Additional District and Sessions Court asked Meesha to submit reply on an application seeking criminal proceedings against her for allegedly submitting forged documents before the court. The court has strictly ordered Meesha to submit the reply on 12th March.
Submission of forged documents before a court of law is a criminal offense and if it got proved that Meesha did so, she will be definitely penalized. Ali Zafar’s advocate asked the court to initiate criminal proceedings against Meesha under Section 476 against forged documents, misrepresentation, misstatement and fraud with the court. He mentioned, “It has been pleaded before the court by the counsel of the defendant that she is out of the country but her pictures participating in an “Aurat March” were all over the social media.”
Barrister Ambreen Qureshi is assisting Rana Intizar in the case. She said, “We are continually faced with delaying tactics by the other party wasting courts precious time. The same happened during today’s hearing. Shockingly, it was also pleaded today that Miss Shafi is out of the country while her pictures on the “Aurat March” was all over the social media.”
We really hope that the court gives its decision as soon as possible so the culprit is punished.
