2 balls signed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan got sold for 65000 CAD and the amount is deposited in Diamer Bhasha Dam fund. One of the balls got sold for 30,000 CAD and the other one for 35,000 CAD.
Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisaar was present in the auction ceremony in Canada. Saqib addressed the occasion and appreciated the love and support of the overseas Pakistanis. The former chief justice also mentioned that Imran Khan is an honest leader.
PTI’s Senator, Faisal Javed is in Canada to collect finds for Daimer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams. He has so far collected $1.5 million including the amount generated from these two cricket balls signed by the legendary cricketer of Pakistan Cricket Team. Another fundraising event was held at a mosque in Ottawa where an amount of $0.4 million was given by the Pakistani community.
Previously, a bat signed by Imran Khan went for 30,000 CAD and a ball signed by him went for 10,000 CAD. These were bought by Naureen Qureshi and Farukh Qureshi respectively.
In a recent tweet Senator Faisal Javed thanked ‘I am Pakistan Movement’ for inviting him to Canada and motivating the Pakistani community to donate for Daimer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams. Faisal said,” Thank you "IamPakistanMovement" for inviting us & motivating Pakistanis in Canada as After Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa & Calgary- It's Edmonton pledging $260,000 PM Imran Khan’s signed Bat $17000 by Ahmad Syed & ball $10,000 by Dr. Khursheed Khan & Dr. Zaeem.”
We really appreciate the efforts of Faisal Javed, Saqib Nisaar, Imran Khan and last but not the least, the overseas Pakistanis who are always there to help Pakistan in difficult times.
