Yumna Zaidi Reigns Over Lux Style Award 2021 Nominations

Celebrating two decades of dedicating accolades to the worthy stars in the fields of fashion, music, and television categories; Lux Style Awards returns this year with the same old pomp and pizzaz. The nomination list is out and doesn’t include the film category due to the closure of cinemas due to the pandemic.

However, the television category surely caught our eye with some of the top projects making to the list. From dramas like Ehd e Wafa to Alif, Sabaat to Pyaar Kay Sadqay; some of the most trending names of the 2020 drama season will be battling for the black beauty! What piqued our interest was Yumna Zaidi, who has bagged as many as three nominations- becoming the only starlet to bag a trio of nominees across the television category.

We all know that last year, she ruled over our screens with Pyar Kay Sadqay and Raaz-e-Ulfat. Consequently, it is no surprise to us that she bagged the Best Actress nomination in both critics' and viewers’ choice awards.

Mahjabeen & Mushk- the characters that made Yumna rule 2020

Yumna will indeed be forever remembered for her quirky role as Mahjabeen in Pyar Kay Sadqay. She delivered powerful scenes, portrayed a role she has never done before with aplomb, warmed the hearts of the viewers with her innocent avatar, and rocked her on-screen chemistry across Bilal Abbas.

Contrary to Pyar Kay Sadqay, Yumna played the role of a determined and empowered young girl, Mushk in the Raaz-e-Ulfat. Raised in a conservative household, the twists and turns in life tend to make her even more strong. Amidst all the challenges of life, she also realizes what true love encompasses and settles with the one hero she finds worthy of being a partner.

Yumna essayed both characters with sheer grace, making us glued to her plot and falling in love with her scenes. She surely has a high chance to win at least one accolade this time around while last year, she won the Viewer’s choice award for Best TV Actress for her role as Hajra in Inkaar.
