Remember the bold empress Hurem Sultan from the Turkish Drama ‘Mera Sultan’?

Our very own Zara Noor Abbas is giving us major Hurem vibes in her latest Hum TV drama ‘Badshah Begum’!

Powerful, royal, and exuding supremacy in her new character; Zara seems to have leveled up with her new avatar. From the looks of the teasers; the drama seems to have a women-centric storyline and will be grabbing all the eyeballs for sporting a fierce take on female leadership.

Produced by Rafay Rashidi, written by Saji Gul, and directed by Khizer Idrees of Lapaata fame; the drama boasts a cast featuring Farhan Saeed, Ali Rehman Khan, Yasir Hussain, Komal Meer, and Hamza Sohail alongside Abbas.

A very regal Zara can be sported unsheathing a sword and taking her place on the throne. A crowd of women looks up to her as she sits like a majestic ruler. In one of the scenes, she turns all gangsters as she brandishes a gun towards her target.

However, in the second teaser, we see Komal Meer as Roshan Ara and her romantic interest Ali Rehman Khan as Bakhtiar. She appears to be someone who aspires to take over the throne and wants to bring down Badshah Begum.

There will only be small glimpses of Ali Rehman Khan in the teaser and he could be spotted with both Zara and Komal. Are we sensing a love triangle? Let’s wait and watch.

Meanwhile, we are still waiting for Farhan Saeed and Yasir Hussain’s avatars to be revealed. The release date of the drama is still a mystery.
