Gul Makai – a Bollywood biopic of Malala Yousafzai is directed by Amjad Khan, and it’s all set to hit theatres on January 31st. The trailer od Gul Makai is out, and it’s just what we had expected.

Malala’s character is played by Indian child actor – Reem Shaikh, and it sure looks like a movie we’d all want to watch. The trailer opens to visuals of the spectacular Swat valley – Malala’s birthplace.

Further into the trailer, and we see the Taliban militants torturing and killing the residents of Swat Valley. The trailer transitions into a scene where Malala is delivering a speech, saying that if the Taliban has the power of weapons they should celebrate the power of the pen.

The trailer also highlights the need for education for women. We also get to see visuals from Malala’s daring speech where she passionately emphasizes women’s right to a full education.
