After Sinf-e-Aahan, yet another script by Umera Ahmed is all set to make a splash on our screens. And this time, it is the writer’s golden masterpiece ‘Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay’ that has been booked for a television adaption on Hum TV.

Every fan of Umera has read the novel and cannot stop singing praises for the profound tale it encloses. For such a popular story, an equally ensemble cast has been signed to make the drama as adored amongst the masses as the novel is in its essence.

Mahira Khan's Big T.V Comeback

Starring Mahira Khan, Kubra Khan, Usman Mukhtar, and Haroon Shahid, the drama will be directed by Farooq Rind of Pyaar Kay Sadqay fame. Every story that the ace director takes under his belt, manages to become a rating magnet and we have no doubts that Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay will be yet another blockbuster.

Already, it marks Mahira Khan’s comeback on television after a long hiatus of six years. Last seen in Sadqay Tumharay, the Humsafar haseena will be donning the role of Mehreen- the awkward and the most rejected of all cousins.

In contrast to her gawky character is that of Mashal, essayed by Kubra Khan, - a charming, alluring and beautiful young lady, who is subjected to a tragic end as a result of her vile actions.

Usman Mukhtar will be donning the role of Aswad- the handsome and debonair cousin who plays a crucial role in the lives of the two cousins, eventually disrupting that of Mehreen.

Haroon Shahid’s avatar is still a secret and he will be joining the supporting cast of Shamim Hilali, Zainab Qayyum, Huma Nawab, Laila Wasti, Omair Rana.

The teaser posters are already making the rounds on the internet, making us all the more excited for the promos to hit the web.

The novel encompasses a depressing plot, one that will make you weep and question the injustices of fate. Fingers crossed for the rollercoaster ride of emotions that will be hitting our screens in the upcoming days.
