With nine episodes down, Sinf e Aahan has officially become our addictive Saturday-entertainment treat.

The story, with all the elements of humor, friendship, rivalry, and patriotism combined, is giving us an ultimate weekend watch. What’s more, we are getting an in-depth insight on how Pakistan Military Acadamy (PMA) life is for women who aspire to have a career in the Pakistan army.

We are loving the power-packed squad of Sajal Aly, Kubra Khan, Syra Yousuf, Ramsha Khan, and Yumna Zaidi. The girls together flaunt unique chemistry, each star exhibiting her magnetism while portraying the character. The supporting cast of Dananeer and the Sri Lankan star, Yehali Tashiya are equally adding fire to the story.

Let’s see what paced in Sinf e Aahan this Saturday and what is coming up next in the drama.

Of friendship and rivalry

The episode begins with the women gearing up for a 1-mile race. Feeling daunted with the challenge of finishing their run and also winning at it; the squad tries their best to be the one who completes the challenge. However, Pariwesh (Ramsha Khan) falls on her feet and hurts herself just at the beginning of the race. Meanwhile, Nathmy (Yehali Tashiya) wins while the rest of the Pakistani trainees feel ashamed for getting beaten by a Sri Lankan cadet. Rabia (Sajal Aly) is determined to beat Nathmy and feels put off that she lost the race despite giving her best. Arzoo (Syra Yousuf) is the only one who is truly inspired by the Sri Lankan girl around her and aims to learn from her.

This is just the start of an intense day for our aspiring army women. There is a dire need of disciplining them and Major Samiya ensures that she sees to it. She makes them learn how to form a line, work under a time limit, maintain the cleanliness of their rooms, makes them struggle even if they are injured, and most importantly, make them learn how to dress like a graceful army woman.

After an intense day of training, we see the girls tired and weak. However, the roommates find a friend in each other in this time of need. Shaista (Yumna Zaidi) and Rabia help each other resolve their leg pain. Meanwhile, Mahjabeen cares for Pariwesh as she struggles with an aching back. Nathmy and Arzoo enjoy a heart-to-heart while the latter tends to her throbbing feet. Major Samiya gives them a surprise visit and schools them for messing up their rooms.

On the other hand, we see Major Osama (Shehryar Munawar) imparting a major message in this episode. During a story-telling session with his daughter, he tries to educate her that marriage is not the end goal after facing certain challenges in life. In fact, the aim should be winning accolades and making a name for oneself in life. We see his wife (Sonia Mishal) liking this perspective but then later having a flashback where she was laughing with the love of her life- a handsome army man hopelessly in love with her. What is her back story and what value it has to add to the tale? We are curious to find out.

The episode had hilarious moments that we truly went back to view again. From Shaista eating all the Panadol tablets to Sidra getting punished for plucking a flower; Mahjabeen aiming to fix her hair with multiple pins to Major Samya drilling them to correct their uniforms; we had a ball watching the women getting used to PMA life.

The promo of the next episode featured Major Osama pumping up the girls with all the patriotism they need to focus on serving the nation. Let’s see what is coming next for us in Sinf e Ahan in the upcoming episode.

The performances get stronger

Girl power indeed is the strongest in Sinf e Aahan than we have seen in any other drama. The starlets are truly shining in their roles, growing in their characters and making us hooked to the striking personalities of their avatars.

Yumna Zaidi as Shaista is hilarious, cute, and bubbly. Her expressions in certain scenes leave us in awe of her acting prowess. The way she reacted when Major Samya praised Shaista’s uniform left us in fits of laughter. Similarly, we couldn’t help enjoying the scene where she collapses on the bed eating all the painkillers. The actress and her role have indeed become the life of the drama.

Kubra Khan and Sajal Aly are performing flawlessly in their roles of Mahjabeen and Rabia, respectively. We see that the makers have shifted focus on their rivalry to other significant turns in the story. However, we are waiting for them to unite and their comradery to bloom all over again. Ramsha Khan as Pariwesh is being depicted as weak so far. Nevertheless, she is struggling for she has to win the heart of her father and all those who are proud of her back home.

Syra Yousuf as Arzoo is graceful. This character in the story is proving to be humble, loving, and understanding. She is the only one in the story who isn’t competitive and is eager to learn and grow in her six-month training.

Dananeer has a supporting role but it indeed becomes a party for the viewers when she appears on-screen. Nobody could have essayed Sidra better than her. The character is both adorable and silly when she complains, loves being a foodie, and enjoys pulling off the riskiest stunts.

All in all, every female character has her flavor to add to the story. Together, they are making Sinf e Aahan a compelling watch and a distinguished story that is not to be missed. However, we hope that the plot of the story remains on a lighter note with important lessons and humor entertaining us. We don’t want a tragic death or a painful chapter to happen in the tale. What’s more, we are looking forward to the story ending on a happy note, inspiring generations of women to serve their country with passion and zeal.
