Pakistani Celebrities Mourn Death of Asma Nabeel & Anwar Iqbal

Two great personalities of the Pakistani showbiz industry lost their lives on Thursday, writer Asma Nabeel lost her battle against breast cancer. She was a famed writer and producer with blockbuster dramas Khaani, Sarah chandni, Damsa and Khuda Mera Bhi Hai to her name.

The talented powerhouse, Asma Nabeel also made a name for herself in Bollywood after she wrote a song featured in Helicopter Eela starring B-town's diva, Kajol. She had fought and won her first fight against breast-cancer after which she created awareness through media in many ways, just recently she was part of the campaign on breast-cancer by clothing brand Generation and Ali xeeshan who launched a special ‘dupatta’ in tribute to Asma Nabeel, the proceeds of which will go to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital.

News of the legendary actor Anwer Iqbal being critically ill had been making the rounds just recently and it was announced that the senior also passed away on Thursday, while some reports say the Shama actor passed away due to a gastro illness, his brother mentioned he had cancer too. The veteran actor had numerous yester-year hits to his name such as, Shama and Akhri Chataan and also produced the first Balochi language film Hammal O Mahgunj.
