The day begun with the sad news of legendary singer Nayyara Noor's demise. She was battling with an illness and passed away in Karachi at the age of 71.

Nayyara Noor is fondly known as Bulbul e Pakistan, the lady with a golden voice and she was one of the top playback singers in the country. Surprisingly she had no musical background or formal training in music, however her talents were god-gifted and she was popular in the entire subcontinent, having sung as a playback singer for multiple Bollywood films too.

The unfortunate news has left everyone shocked and celebrities, media personalities and politicians across the subcontinents have poured in their condolences for the nightingale of Pakistan over social media.

Her funeral prayers will be offered at 4pm today at Masjid/Imambargah Yasrab located in DHA, according to the family. The singer will be laid to rest to at a DHA Phase 8 cemetery.
