A new entertainment channel has been the buzz of the town, Green Entertainment has begun its test transmission and the official launch for the channel is set for the 10th of July 2023. Setting itself apart from other networks, Green offers a refreshing line-up of content that captivates viewers.

Among the line-up of upcoming dramas, "Daurr" has caught our attention, featuring Ushna Shah, Zhalay Sarhadi, Amna Ilyas and Noreen Gulwani in pivotal roles. The power-women will be joined by an ensemble cast also feauturing Mehmood Aslam, Affan Waheed and Umer Mukhtar amongst others. Drama serial Daurr’s trailer has left the audience excited and in anticipation for the drama to begin!

The drama is based on the book by Pakistani author Safina D Ellahi, ‘Eye on the Prize’. The book is an insight into the lives of the Pakistani elites and has received raving reviews. The drama also promises to be an engaging watch as the trailer suggests and is directed by Wajahat Rauf and written by Mohsin Ali of Dunk and Ishqiya fame.

As the book suggests and from what we have seen in the trailer, Daurr follows the story of these women Hina (Amna Ilyas), Minahil (Zhalay Sarhadi) and Shezray (Ushna Shah), who are in the pursuit of having it all. In the rush to have it all, they are prepared to against all odds and cross all limits to have it all. However, behind closed doors there’s more to them that what meets the eye. Secrets, insecurities and betrayal threaten to wreak havoc on their lives. Shezray, Minahil and Hina must maintain a calm exterior and keep their Eye on the Prize that seems to be like the sports extravaganza that is taking over theirs and their children’s lives.

We're loving the tale of three women with completely different backgrounds and can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Ushna Shah plays the fierce boss-lady and the strong businesswoman who commands a seat at the table while juggling motherhood at the same time. While Zhalay Sarhadi is the housewife whose life revolves around her home and family. While Amna Ilyas is the woman who wishes to have more than what she has at the moment.
