Parey Hut Love’s Haye Dil Bechara is one of the most upbeat songs from the film, and it has received a lot of love from fans ever since its release. Sung by Jimmy Khan, and with lyrics by Azaan Sami Khan, the track is ideal for a little grooving on shadis.

But, is it really an original? Sadly, no! The song is a rip-off of a Spanish song titled ‘Sofia’ by Alvaro Soler. The two tracks share quite the similarities, in terms of rhythm, and tune. Not the entire song, just a few parts here and there, but it’s quite obvious.

If you haven’t heard Sofia, check it out on YouTube and tell us whether you agree with this allegation or not. A Twitter thread opened up after fans discovered the similarities between the two songs. One of the tweets said:

Just another Pakistani artist engaged in plagiarism.

While another one talked about how this was nothing new, saying the industry is quite apt at copying songs and tunes produced by foreign artists:

Yeah, but tbh every other song these days copies off their tunes from olden songs, some dating back to '30s or the '60s. Nothing new in the music industry, they keep on recycling this stuff.

What are your thoughts on this?
