The Director of the Pakistan Institution of Labour Education and Research (PIER), has requested in a press conference for lawful labour wages.

The "Labour Leader" has called for salaries and unemployment benefits to be granted to those who are unable to resume working in this difficult time as the situation worsens, especially for daily wage earners. He claimed that the Sindh Government has not followed through on the payment regime as many factory workers have been fired and found themselves out of work without being given a salary in March.

Ali stated how industries and companies were not following government orders by decreasing salaries of their employees, imploring action to be taken against those who are not compliant in abiding by government orders and regulations which had been set in place.
