Bilal Lashari’s directorial ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ has undergone legal issues for almost a year. The producer of the original movie ‘Maula Jatt’, Sarwar Bhatti had filed lawsuits against the team, which have now all been cleared.

According to the producer of TLMJ, Ammara Hikmat, the movie has been cleared for release. Finally! In 2017, Sarwar filed a suit before the Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan) tribunal seeking an injunctive order against the exhibition of The Legend of Maula Jatt.

The trailer of the film was released in December 2018, after which the movie was faced with multiple controversies, and legal issues owing to copyright cases that have all been put to rest now, thankfully. The producers are planning to release the most anticipated movie of all time, by Eid Ul Fitr this year.

The trailer of the film left us all wanting some more of the action, romance and drama. TLMJ stars Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan, Humaima Malik and Gohar Rasheed in pivotal roles. Let’s hope there are no more hindrances to it this year! Fingers Crossed
