New Year, new drama serial and we’re eagerly waiting! Pehli Si Mohabbat stars the power-packed duo Sheheryar Munawar and Maya Ali in leading roles and we’re already loving their on-screen chemistry in the teasers after Parey Hut Love.

One of the most anticipated shows of 2021, Pehli Si Mohabbat seems to be based on a love story with elements of reality as well as 'old school vibes'. The drama is written by Ranjha Ranjha Kardi writer Faiza Iftikhar, and helmed by none-other than ‘Anjum Shehzad’. There is no love-triangle or domestic issue as such, just first love romance with a steller supportive cast including, Rabia Butt, Nausheen Shah, Saba Hameed, Uzma Hassan and fashion designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY).

Maya Ali will be seen as ‘Rakhshi’ in the show who is a college girl. She’s seen writing a letter in the teaser and describing ‘What is first love?’ We like the poetic feel and the harmonizing female vocals with the background music. The show has true old world charm, romance and is rife with emotion.

Sheheryar Munawar is playing the role of ‘Aslam’, in which he appears to be a hopeless romantic. He’s also seen writing a letter to Rakhshi, telling her that she’s the ‘first page of his book of love, the love he has fought like war, the war which was neither lost by destiny nor won by the heart’. Describing the pricelessness of first love, his version of the teaser ends. We like how the stamp of ‘Pehli Si Mohabbat’ is used on letters with red ink.

Hassan Sheheryar Yasin is playing both a pivotal and crucial role in the show as ‘Akram’. He’s seen doing something he has never done before in a totally different look, donning Kameez Shalwar with a Muslim Topi. We’re surprised how he got rid of his original accent for the play! He seems to be the villain or antagonist of the story as he tears up the letters of Aslam and Rakhshi.

The drama will air on ARY Digital and we’re yet to see how the story unfolds but we’re sure it’s a story we all can relate to!
